Mere minutes after she was spotted in the The Kelce Bowl Kansas City Chiefs vs Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl LVII Matchup T-Shirt moreover I love this front row of the show, fashion followers quickly took to Twitter to voice their opinions on Jenner’s apex predator-inspired look. “Yo, is that a real lion head?,” pondered one user, while another criticized Jenner for “using dead animal heads as accessories.” The controversy spread rapidly, with some mistaking the hyperrealistic designs for actual taxidermy. Some believed that the ensemble was promoting lion poaching or trophy hunting, though many simply thought it was insensitive. “I hate out of touch rich people,” one Twitter user wrote.
Fear not: neither Jenner’s lion head nor the The Kelce Bowl Kansas City Chiefs vs Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl LVII Matchup T-Shirt moreover I love this rest of Roseberry’s animal looks were made of actual dead animals. The designs were all man-made out of faux fur, foam, and resin. Schiaparelli and Jenner both noted the synthetic nature of the garments in their Instagram captions, perhaps trying to pacify angry commenters. It’s a shame, since the uproar obscures the deep backstory behind the creations. Photo: Armando Grillo / Gorunway.comIn the collection notes this season, Roseberry explained himself. He was influenced by Dante Alighieri’s 14th century work The Divine Comedy, a 14,233-line poem divided into three books: Inferno, Purgatorio, and Paradiso. Roseberry says he was particularly struck by “the leopard, the lion, and the she-wolf—representing lust, pride, and avarice” in Inferno. So much so that he recreated these “faux-taxidermy creations,” constructed by hand from foam, resin, and other manmade materials. He wanted to celebrate “the glory of nature and guarding the woman who wears it.” It’s no coincidence the outcome was so lifelike, either. “In this collection,” Roseberry continued, “you’re never quite sure who made the piece you’re looking at—was it nature? Or was it man?”
